May through June: Turtle Pilgirmage. Hundreds
of female Red-ear Sliders come ashore to lay eggs. The
City posts "Turtle Crossing" signs along the
roadways to alert motorists to protect the "reptilian
mothers."
July 4: Fourth of July & Dog Days Parade,

July 4: Independence Day Fire Works Celebration.
Reflections of lighted boats add to the beauty of the
spectacular fireworks show.
December: Third Sunday: The Annual Uncertain
Floating Christmas Parade: For over 20 years this parade
on the water has delighted visitors who line the banks
of Uncertain to see this unique event. (Call Dottie

New Year's Eve: Fireworks Extravaganza (at dark
on Dec. 31) Brilliant balls of colorful fire reflect
in the waters of the lake. Can be viewed in the area
of Johnson's Ranch. (Call 903 789-3213)
